ROCK OIL TAKE ON WESTON CHALLENGE
The Weston Beach race is hard on bikes and hard on riders. The infamous dunes course certainly takes its toll on both during the course of the racing, and requires rider and machine to be perfectly prepared for what is a gruelling challenge.
Rock Oil will, once again, be helping riders to prepare their bikes for the toughest off-road event in the United Kingdom by supplying a sample of their products in the goody bag that all competitors receive ahead of the race weekend.
Rock Oil is a private, family owned UK business, which was established in 1928. The company manufacturers high performance lubricants for use across many different sectors, and this year has supplied enough tubes of oil for each of the riders to try.
The lubricants supplier has a vast experience in motorcycle racing following its success on track in both British and World Championships. The company's continued involvement with all forms of two wheeled racing ensures that it produces the highest quality products for optimum performance and reliability. Rock Oil prides itself in creating advance oils for motorcycle enthusiasts, which means that its involvement with the Weston Beach Race unites the company's vision both on and off the racetrack.
"Rock Oil's involvement with the Weston Beach Race is great for us, as it means that everyone taking on the challenge of racing the dunes course gets to try our products in the most extreme environment possible," declared Russell Bower, Rock Oil's Marketing Manager. "We pride ourselves in producing the very best lubricants for motorsport use, and you need the best when you're racing at events like Weston, where such huge demands are made of the bikes. It is vital that all competitors use a product that offers the highest level in performance and reliability, and we're more than happy to supply it. Personally I'm really looking forward to this year's race; it's an exciting event that unites the very best riders in the sport with those who simply race for fun."
One man who knows exactly how tough the Weston Beach Race is on both man and machine is event organiser Gareth Hockey, who has raced the event more than a dozen times, including once as a sidecar passenger.
"If you want to test products in the most extreme conditions possible, then Weston provides an ideal opportunity," commented Hockey. "Rock Oil certainly know this, having supplied lubricants to all the competitors last year, and we're happy to see the company continue their support of the event this time around. Any product used at the Beach Race needs to perform faultlessly under extreme conditions, and the positive feedback on the Rock Oil products we received from riders last year illustrates quite clearly the quality of the lubricants supplied. I'm confident it will be the same this year also."
